The current total of class action suits filed against Proquest is now 8. I suspect the number will continue to grow. For all info regarding this story use the previous posted link, or simply type the Proquest stock symbol PQE into google and click the first result which links to Yahoo finance. Maybe in about 4 or 5 years the story will actually fully be disclosed to the public about the actual accounting "discrepancies". I hope in the end that everything is done strictly to the letter of the law, as cases like these show us how local corporations operate with no regard for employees, stockholders, or the public. So if you actually take the time to read this, remember this simple rule: It is a felony to shoplift a candy bar which costs about 60 cents. To lie on your books and say you made millions more than you did to falsely drive up your stock price so you can make millions of dollars gets you a slap on the hand, maybe. If they wanted to make an example by throwing Martha Stewart in jail, then perhaps it is about time to scrutinize the trading practices of corporate board members......oh wait.....they finance political campaigns.
