Proquest Stock Plunges
Big surprise, they released some of their numbers. It is worse than everybody thought. They lied since 2000 and overstated revenue by at least 25%. Read the article and take a look for yourself for the details. On a side note, one investor had 7.3 million invested in PQ. He is now raising his voice and going after PQ management. Good for him, i'd want my 7 million back too.
The new Freedom Tower is about to begin construction. The spire will reach 1776 feet into the sky. Depending when it is completed it will be the tallest building in the world. There are a few buildings scheduled to be built that will surpass it in height, but it will still probably be in the top three tallest buildings when completed.
Good news if you are looking to dump MS windows in the future, or if you just like a variety of operating systems. This may lead the way to more desktop applications being available for Linux users. I have only one simple question.....Will we have to pay for what was once open source?
Three Crewmen Return to Earth in Russian Soyuz Spacecraft
A three-man crew landed in Kazakhstan early Sunday local time after a flight from the International Space Station. Brazilian Marcos Pontes joined an American astronaut and a Russian cosmonaut who had spent the last six months on the ISS.
For those that read my blog and have an interest in the daily gold and silver market prices, I've added a link on the sidebar to kitco.com for up to date quotes. Silver is performing quite nicely at over 12$ an ounce and gold is fluctuating as it creeps towards 600$ an ounce.
This looks like the first step in plugging computers directly into the brain. An interesting article if you ask me. Should be quite promising in about 50 years.
